Prayer Prompts for Dark Days

When walking through life’s valleys, it can feel like the longest and loneliest experience, but my prayer is that as you read these words you will remember that you are never alone. The Lord God is with you, His Word is a lamp to your feet, and His promises remain true even in the shadows. When the path ahead seems uncertain, stand on His Word and remain in His presence. Allow Him to steady your heart and strengthen your soul.

Over these pages, we will look at five prayer points with supporting scriptures to anchor your heart and prompts to help you process your experiences. Remember, that prayers don’t have to be elaborate, and a simple “Help me, Jesus” will sometimes be all you utter, and indeed all that you need. God the Father knows your heart inside out, He knows every thought that crosses your mind and every word on the tip of your tongue.

If you aren’t in a place to verbalise the details of your heart's cry, know that He already knows it. The purpose of prayer is really to enable your soul to give everything to Him and give Him permission to be everything you need.
